Jamie and Jason’s wedding was one of those days that just couldn’t have been lovelier. From the stunning bride who was beyond elegant in her flowing Reem Acra gown, to the equally handsome groom whose suit was perfect down to the smallest detail, it would be easy to get distracted by what a good looking couple they make – but they are in all ways just as kind, intelligent, thoughtful, and fun as they are photogenic. Even their smallest interactions speak to how much care and concern they have for one another, and it’s easy to see that they will always take good care of each other. How could two people like them not have an amazing life together?
They exchanged their totally charming hand-written vows (which had every one there laughing one minute and getting a little choked up the next) on a warm day in early June at one of my favorite venues in the Livermore Valley, Murrieta’s Well, in front of its beautiful 1880’s winery surrounded by rolling vineyards on every side. Every bit of the day was charming down to the smallest detail; I just couldn’t get over the groom and groomsmen’s navy blue ties and bow-ties with a small pink floral print that tied in with the bridesmaid’s blush pink gowns. A huge thanks to my awesome second shooter, Nicole, to the the always wonderful staff at Murrieta’s Well who make my job so easy, as well as to Susan Kelly of Three Sisters, who did the beautiful florals that were a perfect compliment to the space, Tiffany Chiang of Design Her Image who did the bride’s stunning hair and makeup, and Robert Dean of In The Mix who I have to thank for this truly epic dance floor.
Congratulations and all my warmest wishes for the future!
Connie and Vikram are one of those rare and lucky couples who met each other and just knew from the very beginning. From their first meeting at Yale Law School, through Vikram’s decision to switch to a career in medicine and a cross country move to California, they never missed a beat. It’s easy to see from the way that they look at each other, laugh together, and take care of each other through the small moments of stress that inevitably come up when planning a wedding, that they’re always going to be as happy together as they were on their wedding day – and how could two such totally charming, intelligent, and kind people not be?
They got married beneath an old oak tree on a warm day in May, surrounded by sweeping views of Carmel Valley and friends and family from all over the globe. Held at the stunning Pasadera Country Club in Monterey, their wedding could not have been a more gorgeous celebration. Tributes to Connie’s Chinese heritage were found in the small tea ceremony that was part of their wedding ceremony, the beautiful cheongsam she changed into at the end of the night, and the colorful Chinese lanterns strung throughout the trees, while small nods to Vikram’s Indian background were present in their charming invitations, escort cards, and signage. Karissa from Coastside Couture did an amazing job of planning and organizing their wedding, and gorgeous florals from Laughing Gal Floral filled the tables and aisles. Monterey String Quartet provided the perfect background for their ceremony, while Jon from Belmont Entertainment kept the dance floor packed to the bitter end. Their wedding was as fun as it was beautiful, and I can’t wait to hear what is next for this amazing couple!
Many congratulations and all the best to you both!
