San Francisco Wine Country Wedding Photographer: Jennifer & Johnny at Murrieta’s Well
Jennifer and Johnny are one of those couples for whom there are just no words one earth that could possibly do the them justice. Their wedding this July was the kind of night that I live for – laid back, simple, and absolutely gorgeous, I wouldn’t have changed a single thing about it. Every time they looked at each other you could feel the love and excitement thick in the air, and their families and friends couldn’t have been happier or more excited to be celebrating their wedding. I left that night feeling like I was walking on air, and as I looked through each image as I edited the photos, I felt like like I was reliving it all over again.
You might remember them from their engagement session earlier this year – both artists, they met at San Jose State, and are two of the kindest, warmest, most talented and fun people on earth. You can tell how happy they will be together in the years to come, not just from how excited they were on the day of their wedding, but by how selfless and attentive they are to each other. It’s obvious that they’ll always put each other ahead of themselves and have an amazing life together with their two totally adorable (and spoiled) feline children, Ringo and JiJi.
One of my favorite parts of the wedding was listening to one of Jennifer’s former professors from SJSU giving a toast about how the two of them met – he said that every year, there was one girl in his class who every boy was in love with – and that year, of course it was Jennifer. It’s easy to see why. And it’s also easy to see why Johnny was the guy who got the girl. I would say that they’re incredibly lucky to have found each other, but the truth is that they both deserved it.
Held at Murrieta’s Well in the Livermore Valley, it couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day. From the ceremony held in the shade of the historic winery, to the rolling vineyards bathed in golden late-afternoon light, to the dancing under string lights in the barrel room, it was a photographer’s dream. Jen made most of the charming decorations by hand in the months leading up to the wedding, and enjoyed the process so much that she has now opened an adorable Etsy Store specializing in cake toppers and felted animals.
All my love and congratulations, you two – I feel so lucky to have met you and can’t wait to see what’s next!
