San Jose Indian Wedding Photographer: Radhika & Harish at Swaminarayan Temple & Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery

It’s not often that I meet a couple for the first time when their wedding begins, but with Radhika and Harish planning their Bay Area wedding while living and working in New York City, this was one of those times.  I couldn’t have been more surprised or delighted to meet them in person when I walked into their Mehndi celebration on Thursday night (which you can see here), and their wedding day just confirmed it.  I had been able to tell just from talking to Radhika on the phone that she would be a really fun, down to earth bride, but what I couldn’t have known was that she was also gorgeous –  and how handsome was her groom?   They were both incredibly kind and a lot of fun – and so were their families.

Planning a wedding on the west coast while living on the east coast is certainly no small challenge, but with the help of their awesome and talented Tejel of Ambiance by Tejel, they managed it seamlessly, stresslessly, and beautifully.  Their beautiful Hindu wedding ceremony was held at the Swaminarayan Mandir in Milpitas, followed by a reception at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton.   Casa Real looked gorgeous with draping and linens by Ajooba Events, florals and centerpieces by Yonan’s Florals (http://www.yonansfloralweddings.com/), and a gorgeous cake (check out that topper!) by http://www.margaretsfrenchbakery.com.   DJ Salim kept the dance floor crowded all night, and Milan Catering provided the incredible food (which was so good that I’m actually tempted to make the journey down Milpitas just for their raita!).  It couldn’t have been a lovelier or sweeter evening.

Gorgeous couple and gorgeous wedding aside, what stood out to me the most (and what make me smile all over again while going through the photos) was the laughter, warmth, and love at this wedding.  From the way Radhika & Harish looked at each other as their families surrounded them during the wedding ceremony, to the tears Radhika and her mother shed during the incredibly emotional vidaai, to the expressions on each of their faces as they listened to the toasts…  it would have been just as perfect in the humblest of settings as it was here.

All the best, you two!  I know you’ll have an absolutely wonderful life together.
