Santa Barbara Wedding Photographer: Rachel & Seth at Apple Creek Ranch

When I first met Rachel & Seth, I could tell immediately that I would love working with them.  Two full-time working artists, they’re an incredibly creative but down-to-earth couple.  They couldn’t have been more fun or relaxed.  Seth spent the morning of the wedding dancing around shirtless with the guys, and when the hook that held Rachel’s dress closed broke less than an hour before the ceremony and I had to put that degree in fashion to use sewing her into it, she hardly batted an eye.  Seeing the two of them together and listening to their family and friends talk, it became really clear that not only are they in love with each other, they also admire and respect each other as people and as artists, which is a really amazing thing to see.

They got married on a gorgeous clear day in August at Apple Creek Ranch, an incredibly darling little spot nestled in the Santa Ynez foothills.  The ceremony was on a deck overlooking the surrounding mountains and the reception outside the barn with rows of string-lights casting a soft glow overhead.  They made nearly all the decorations themselves, while one of Rachel’s bridesmaids did all the flowers.  Rachel wore a simple but gorgeous blush pink Vera Wang gown with her bridesmaids in purple, and Seth a light grey suit with matching purple shirt & tie.  It was the perfect wedding – gorgeous, laid-back, and a lot of fun with hilarious toasts and a lot of great dancing.

All the best, you two!  May you continue to have wonderful life working, travelling, and creating together!
